Project Update
We’re in post‑production! After a summer of filming, we’ve completed a large portion of the Harambee Mockumentary and are preparing a special end‑of‑year screening to share what we’ve created so far.
Over the past months, we:
Connected with over 20 community members and recorded many of their stories
Filmed in front of Harambee homes and at neighborhood gatherings
Joined community events, including Juneteenth, to listen, laugh, and learn
What began as an open question—What stories will we uncover?—has become a heartfelt, hilarious portrait of Harambee’s history, culture, and everyday brilliance.
Filming Pause, not Finished
We’re pausing new interviews during the holidays to focus on editing and celebrating together. We’ll invite more stories as the project evolves next year.
