Project Update

We’re in post‑production! After a summer of filming, we’ve completed a large portion of the Harambee Mockumentary and are preparing a special end‑of‑year screening to share what we’ve created so far.

Over the past months, we:

  • Connected with over 20 community members and recorded many of their stories

  • Filmed in front of Harambee homes and at neighborhood gatherings

  • Joined community events, including Juneteenth, to listen, laugh, and learn

What began as an open question—What stories will we uncover?—has become a heartfelt, hilarious portrait of Harambee’s history, culture, and everyday brilliance.

Filming Pause, not Finished
